About me

Hello, I’m Sophie, a trained doula based in Hampshire. I offer personalised support throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period, helping families feel informed, confident, and cared for as they prepare for life with their baby.

Originally from Devon, I spent many years living in London before making Hampshire home with my husband, our two young children and dog.

My journey into doula work began in 2023 after the birth of my first child, an experience that opened my eyes to the profound transformation that comes with becoming a mother. It deepened my appreciation for how important it is to have someone who can offer reliable information, encouragement, and a reassuring presence during pregnancy, birth, and the early postnatal period. Every woman's experience is unique, and my role is to listen without judgement, share reliable information, and support each family in finding what feels right for them.

I completed my doula training with Nurturing Birth and have also undertaken the ABM Peer Support Foundation Course, strengthening my knowledge of infant feeding and breastfeeding. This allows me to offer practical support and reliable information around infant feeding during those precious early weeks with your baby.

I also work with Frimley Park Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP), an organisation that ensures the voices and experiences of local families help shape safe, compassionate, and inclusive maternity services. Being part of this work allows me to advocate for women and families while contributing to meaningful improvements in local maternity services.

My approach is gentle, non-judgemental, and centred on you. I take the time to listen, answer your questions, and support you in a way that reflects your individual needs, helping you feel informed and capable every step of the way.

Based in Hampshire, I support families across North Hampshire and neighbouring areas of Surrey and Berkshire.

It is a privilege to be part of such an important chapter in people's lives, supporting families as they prepare for birth and adjust to life with a new baby.
